Discussion...
adjusted tonight's and monday's forecast based on current radar
trends and some of the new 00z models coming in. The frontal band
currently over central Washington will move *very* slowly to the east,
reaching the Washington/Idaho border by late Monday afternoon. You might be
able to walk faster than that. Just how well it holds together as
it makes this trip is a bigger question. But most of the higher
resolution models show that while the band may weaken later
tonight, it should reorganize itself a bit when it reaches extreme
eastern Washington on Monday. We won't see very much rain from this front.
But the persistent light rain and heavy clouds should do quite a
number on the temperatures on Monday. I knocked a few degrees off
of most locations east of Ritzville for Monday, figuring that some
folks may not make it above 60f. The Cascades had their cold wet
day today. The other half of the inland northwest gets its turn on
Monday. Rj

Aviation...
00z tafs: a very slow moving front will track across the area
tonight and Monday, bringing more fall-like aviation conditions
to the taf sites. Conditions should stay VFR at keat and klws.
Kmwh could see a few hours of MVFR cigs on Monday morning.
Kpuw/kgeg/ksff/kcoe have a good chance of MVFR cigs during the
morning hours in conjunction with light rain. I'll be taking a
closer look at this for the 06z taf issuance, since cigs may be a
bit lower than currently in my forecast. Cigs should rise in the
afternoon but light rain showers will continue through the day. Rj
