Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Tulsa OK
1105 am CDT Mon Sep 23 2019
front is losing steam as it starts to stall out across east
central Oklahoma. Latest surface analysis suggests the boundary
runs from northwest Arkansas to near kmko/kokm although the wind
has already come back to the south at Okmulgee with low 70s
dewpoints. The front won't make much more progress south and will
serve as a focus for occasional showers/storms today and tonight
as it lifts back north.
The rain is decreasing over the southeast OK counties of
Pushmataha and Le Flore, although showers and scattered storms are
possible through the afternoon.
Main updates to the current forecast were to adjust cloud trends
in areas across northeast Oklahoma where it has cleared out and
adjusted pops/temps where needed.
