Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 8:48 AM AKST Feb. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
noon akst Saturday...

* what... snow and blowing snow with areas of poor visibility, are
expected. Visibility will be one quarter mile or less at times.
Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected.

* Where... southern Seward Peninsula coast.

* When... 3 PM today to noon Saturday. Snow and blowing snow will
develop late this afternoon. The worse conditions will be
tonight.

* Additional details... winds gusting to 40 mph will cause
widespread blowing and drifting snow. Light freezing drizzle
occuring this morning will diminish in the afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means severe
winter weather conditions are expected. This will make travel
very difficult or impossible.
