has fallen in portions of the warned area in the last several
hours. With additional heavy rainfall expected, flash flooding is

CDT this evening...

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a lake
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 9 am this morning to 8 PM
CDT this evening.

* Event... south winds will be elevated and produce wind
conditions.

* Areas affected... much of Arkansas.

* Timing... by 9 am CDT winds will become elevated and last to
earlier evening around 8 PM CDT.

* Winds... south winds will reach 15 to 25 mph with some gusts to
30 to 35 mph.

* Impacts... boaters on area lakes and rivers should use extra
caution due to the expected high winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes, as well as some areas rivers. Small boats will be
especially prone to capsizing.
