* Flash Flood Warning for...
Chicot County in southeastern Arkansas...
Ashley County in southeastern Arkansas...
Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana...

* until 1030 am CST

* at 433 am CST, local law enforcement reported several flooded
roadways across Ashley and Chicot counties and Morehouse Parish. 2
to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bastrop, Crossett, Hamburg, Lake Village, Dermott, Eudora, Wilmot,
North Crossett, West Crossett, Portland, Montrose, Parkdale,
Fountain Hill, Beekman, McMillan Corner, Jones, Old Milo, Snyder,
Berlin and Galion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* until 800 am CST

* at 207 am CST, local law enforcement reported numerous flooded
roadways across Ashley and Chicot counties and Morehouse Parish.
2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that are experiencing flooding include...
Bastrop, Crossett, Hamburg, Lake Village, Dermott, Eudora, Wilmot,
North Crossett, West Crossett, Portland, Montrose, Parkdale,
Fountain Hill, Beekman, McMillan Corner, Jones, Old Milo, Snyder,
Berlin and Galion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana and
Mississippi, including the following areas in southeast
Arkansas, Ashley and Chicot. In northeast Louisiana,
Catahoula, East Carroll, Franklin la, Madison la, Morehouse,
Richland, Tensas and West Carroll. In Mississippi, Bolivar,
Humphreys, Issaquena, Sharkey, Sunflower and Washington.

* Until noon CST today

* multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms producing heavy
rainfall could bring 3 to 5 inches of rain, with locally
higher amounts possible.

* The flooding of roads, low lying areas, and areas with poor
drainage will be possible. If encountering flooded roads,
remember to turn around, don't drown.
