The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northwestern Mohave County in northwestern Arizona...
southeastern Lincoln County in south central Nevada...

* until 945 am PDT/945 am MST/

* at 542 am PDT/542 am MST/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across northwest portions of Mohave County.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Virgin river gorge, Beaver Dam, Littlefield, Grand Canyon skywalk,
Pierce Ferry and Antares roads, Meadview, Hoover dam, Virgin River
Campground, Grand Canyon Ranch, Lake Mead National Recreation Area,
Temple Bar campground, South Cove and Temple Bar.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through this evening...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of northwest Arizona and
southeast California, including the following areas, in
northwest Arizona, Lake havasu and Fort Mohave and northwest
deserts. In southeast California, San Bernardino County-upper
Colorado River valley.

* Through this evening

* any thunderstorm that develops through this evening will be
capable of producing intense rainfall which could lead to flash
flooding in the watch area. Flooding of normally dry washes, low
water crossings, and poorly drained intersections are likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If you are in the watch area... you should closely monitor weather
forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should heavy
rain and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning is issued.
