Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 7:14 AM MDT Jul. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect from 11 am MST this morning
through 8 PM MST this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central, north Central,
Northeast and west central Arizona. This includes the following
areas, northern Gila County, Yavapai County, most of Coconino
County including Flagstaff, Grand Canyon and Page, southern
Navajo and southern Apache counties.

* From 11 am MST this morning through 8 PM MST this evening

* showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected to
develop late this morning over higher terrain and shift slowly
toward the west. Much of the area has received heavy rainfall
over the past few days, increasing the potential for heavy
storm runoff and flash flooding.

* This watch includes several flash flood prone areas including
the Goodwin and Highline fire scars, Supai, Antelope Canyon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to
flash flooding within the watch area. People... especially those
located along area creeks... rivers or other flash flood prone
areas... should continue to monitor later forecasts and be
prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be
issued.
