Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 5:32 PM MST Jan. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST
Wednesday above 6500 feet...

* what... snow occurring. Expect difficult travel conditions during
the evening commute. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5
inches are expected above 6,5000 ft. Locally higher amounts up
to 7 inches are forecast on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Snow is expected to decrease in intensity after midnight.

* Where... Kaibab Plateau, Grand Canyon country and western
Mogollon Rim.

* When... until 5 am Wednesday.

* Additional details... look for reduced visibilities and snow
covered, slick roads.

Additional snow forecast from 5 PM today to 5 am wednesday:

     Doney Park 0 to 1 inches Flagstaff 2 to 4 inches
       Fredonia 0 to 1 inches Grand Canyon 1 to 3 inches
     Jacob Lake 1 to 3 inches North Rim 3 to 5 inches
       Williams 2 to 4 inches

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 1:21 PM MST Jan. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight MST
tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central and west central Arizona, including
the following areas, Coconino Plateau, Grand Canyon country,
Yavapai County mountains and Yavapai County valleys and basins.

* Until midnight MST tonight

* areas of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected through this
evening. Portions of Yavapai County have already received from 1
to 3 inches of rainfall so far today. Some areas may receive an
additional 1 inch of rain through this evening. High flows are
occurring on several streams in the Bradshaw Mountains this
afternoon.

* Expect elevated water levels in creeks, streams, and washes
today with flooding possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to
flash flooding within the watch area.

People... especially those located along area creeks... rivers or
other flash flood prone areas... should continue to monitor
forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should flash
flood warnings be issued.
