... Wind Advisory in effect from 4 am to 10 PM PST Wednesday...

* what... north to northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to
55 mph, locally higher in canyons and other wind prone areas.

* Where... northern Sacramento Valley, central Sacramento Valley,
southern Sacramento Valley, mountains southwestern Shasta
County to Northern Lake County and western Plumas
County/Lassen park counties.

* When... from 4 am to 10 PM PST Wednesday.

* Impacts... gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

A Wind Advisory means that wind speeds over 25 mph are expected or
wind gusts over 40 mph. Winds this strong can down trees and
branches, cause power outages, and make driving difficult,
especially for small cars and high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.

Fire Weather Warning

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 4 am Wednesday to 7 am
PST Thursday for low humidity and strong wind for fire weather
zones 213, 215, 216, 217, 263, 264, 266, 268, and 279...

* affected areas... fire weather zones 213, 215, 216, 217, 263,
264, 266, 268, and 279. The northern and western Sacramento
Valley, Sierra foothills, all north of I-80, as well as the
coastal range and foothills.

* Wind... north to northeast wind 15 to 35 mph with gusts 35 to
55 mph, locally higher in canyons and exposed ridges.

* Humidity... daytime minimum humidities in the teens and 20s
with moderate to poor overnight recoveries in the 30s and 40s.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
