The Mariposa air pollution district continues an air quality alert
for Mariposa County. For more information regarding air quality,

The Tuolumne County air pollution district also continues an air
quality alert for southern Tuolumne County. For more information
regarding air quality, particularly in Tuolumne County, please
refer to http://www.Co.Tuolumne.CA.US/index.Aspx?Nid=364

The air quality alert is in effect until at least Friday, July 28,
2017.

The San Joaquin Valley air pollution control district has expired
the air quality alert for the valley issued on July 23, 2017. For
additional information, call your local San Joaquin Valley air
district office. Please call (559) 230-6000 for more information.

Exposure to particle pollution can cause serious health problems,
aggravate lung disease, cause asthma attacks and acute
bronchitis, and increase risk of respiratory infections.

Residents are advised to use caution as conditions warrant.
People with heart or lung diseases should follow their doctors
advice for dealing with episodes of unhealthy air quality.

Additionally, older adults and children should avoid prolonged
exposure, strenuous activities or heavy exertion, as conditions
dictate.
