... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this
evening to 7 am EST Sunday...

* what... mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations of less than one inch and ice accumulations of a
light glaze to one tenth of an inch expected. Southeast winds
may gust to 30 to 40 mph over the Taconics, and the higher
terrain of western New England.

* Where... northern Litchfield Hills in Connecticut, the western
Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, northern and central Taconics,
eastern Catskills, Schoharie valley, the Mid Hudson valley, and
the helderbergs of east central New York, and the southern
Berkshires of western Massachusetts.

* When... from 9 PM this evening to 7 am EST Sunday.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.




High Wind Watch

... High wind watch in effect from Sunday evening through Monday
evening...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a high wind
watch, which is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday
evening.

* Locations... eastern Ulster and Dutchess counties in eastern New
York, and Litchfield County Connecticut.

* Winds... west 20 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing... Sunday night into early Monday evening.

* Impacts... the potential for strong to damaging winds, which may
blow down large tree limbs, trees and power lines. Widespread
power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph... or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
