... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 10 PM CDT this evening
through Monday morning...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central Iowa,
southwest Iowa, and west central Iowa, including the following
areas, in south central Iowa, Clarke, Decatur, Madison,
Ringgold, and Union. In southwest Iowa, Adair, Adams, Cass,
and Taylor. In west central Iowa, Audubon, Carroll, Crawford,
and Guthrie.

* From 10 PM CDT this evening through Monday morning

* thunderstorms with the potential for heavy rainfall. 1 to 3
inches with locally higher amounts are expected.

* Heavy rains may produce flash flooding in streams and creeks
with ponding and standing water on roads. Campers should
monitor weather conditions closely and be prepared to take
action by moving to higher ground if water threatens your
campsite.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
