the Missouri River at Plattsmouth.
* There is no current observed data.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum level of 28.0
feet Monday, then remain nearly steady between 28.0 and 27.0 feet
through the week.

Excessive Heat Warning
Issued: 3:35 AM CDT Jul. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Excessive heat warning now in effect until 10 PM CDT this

* heat index values... up to 112 due to temperatures in the upper
90s, and dewpoints in the lower 70s.

* Impacts... dangerously high temperatures and humidity could
quickly cause heat stress or heat stroke if precautions are
not taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or
later in the evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting
clothing when possible, and drink plenty of water.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
