Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 3:37 AM MST Feb. 25, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Snow and blowing snow to create travel hazards Sunday evening through
Monday morning...

A new winter storm will usher across Idaho today, bringing a risk
for blowing and drifting snow and new snow accumulations across
the region. Strong south and southwest winds will develop at 20 to
30 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible. Peak winds are expected
later this evening into the overnight hours with even stronger
winds possible. Any snow on area roadways can drift under these
conditions and can cause a quick reduction in driving visibility. When
combined with a forecast of additional snowfall, around 1 to 3
inches in total, blowing snow is also a risk of reducing driving
visibility. Drivers should be aware of these risks this evening
through Monday morning when traveling.
