Jo Daviess, Putnam, Rock Island, Stephenson, and Whiteside. In
Iowa, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, and Scott.

* Through Friday morning.

storms may produce heavy rain over already saturated ground.
Peak rainfall rates may reach 1 to 2 inches per hour. Total rain
amounts will vary considerably, but an additional 2 to 4 inches
are possible in the heaviest bands, with isolated higher amounts
not out of the question.

* Those near smaller rivers, streams, and low-lying areas should

to drive through flooded roadways. There were many reports of
stalled vehicles in the Quad Cities on Wednesday from people
attempting to cross through flood waters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible.
Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.
