The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Hazleton.
* From Wednesday morning to Friday evening.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 16.9
feet Thursday morning.
* At 17.0 feet... lowest reading available from the Hazleton staff
gage. Since the 1930s the White River has moved from the "old
wellhouse" to several hundred yards from the "old wellhouse". The
river returns to the "old wellhouse" around 17 to 17.5 feet.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Petersburg.
* From Tuesday evening to Thursday evening.
* At 10:30 am Sunday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday before midnight and
continue to rise to near 16.4 feet by Wednesday evening. The river
will fall below flood stage by late Thursday morning.
* At 16.0 feet... flooding affects agricultural lands.

Lake Wind Advisory
Issued: 10:21 AM CDT May. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening...

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening.

* Timing... from 1015 am CDT to 8 PM CDT

* winds... will average 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 to 30 mph
from the west southwest especially for areas east of Interstate
57. Winds will gradually shift to the northwest this afternoon.

* Impacts... winds are expected to be strong enough to cause
problems for boaters on area lakes. Small boats will be the most
significantly impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
