evening to noon EST Thursday...

* what... mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
of 3 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze
expected, mainly near the coast.

* Where... portions of south central, southwest, west central and
western Maine.

* When... from 11 PM this evening to noon EST Thursday.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

* Impacts... minor coastal flooding and splash-over.

* Location... coastal New Hampshire and southwest Maine.

* Coastal flooding... storm surge of around half a foot will
combine with high astronomical tides bringing most locations
slightly above flood stage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
