The Flood Warning continues for
the Big Black River near Bentonia
* until further notice.
* At 7:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 28.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue falling through tomorrow evening
and then will rise near current levels.

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana and
Mississippi, including the following areas in southeast
Arkansas, Ashley and Chicot. In northeast Louisiana, East
Carroll, Madison la, Morehouse, Richland and West Carroll. In
Mississippi, Attala, Bolivar, Carroll, Choctaw, Clarke, Clay,
Copiah, Covington, Forrest, Grenada, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys,
Issaquena, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lamar,
Lauderdale, Lawrence, Leake, Leflore, Lincoln, Lowndes,
Madison MS, Marion, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee,
Oktibbeha, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Smith, Sunflower,
Warren, Washington, Webster, Winston and Yazoo.

* Through this evening.

* Widespread heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher
amounts possible in a few hours.

* This rainfall will occur over saturated soils and ongoing
areal flooding in locations.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
