... Winter Storm Warning in effect until noon MDT today...

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy wet snow... which is in effect until noon
MDT today. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Impacts/timing: heavy wet snow will continue to fall this morning.
The heavy nature of the snow will cause trees and power lines to
break causing power outages and downed branches. Slushy roadways
are making travel difficult.

* Snowfall amounts: an additional 2 to 4 inches expected through this
morning.

* Locations impacted include... Butte... Georgetown Lake... Highway
12 Garrison to Elliston... MacDonald Pass.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
