... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday evening
through Monday morning...

* what... heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6
inches possible in the valleys, with 7 to 12 inches possible in
the mountains. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* Where... Gallatin, Jefferson, Beaverhead, Broadwater and
Madison.

* When... from Saturday evening through Monday morning.

* Additional details... travel could be very difficult. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue

Issued: 12:55 PM MST Feb. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a

* flood advisory for...
an ice jam in...
eastern Madison County in southwestern Montana...

* until 1245 PM MST Sunday.

* At 1250 PM MST, emergency management reported an ice jam causing
minor flooding on the Madison river near Ennis. Ice from the river
has caused minor property damage to a fence line adjacent to the
U.S. Highway 287 bridge over the Madison river.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ennis.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
