... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from 10 PM CDT this
evening through Monday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Iowa and Nebraska, including the following counties
in Iowa, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page,
Pottawattamie, and Shelby. In Nebraska, Burt, Butler, Cass,
Dodge, Douglas, gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha,
Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, Sarpy, Saunders, Seward, and
Washington.

* From 10 PM CDT this evening through Monday morning

* an area of thunderstorms is expected to move through the region
tonight, bringing high rain rates and potentially 1 to 3 inches
of rain. Locally higher rainfall totals are possible.

* Low-lying and flood-prone areas will be most susceptible to
the dangers of flash flooding. Areas near rivers, creeks, and
streams could become flooded during and immediately after
heavy rainfall.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
