... Lakeshore Flood Watch in effect from Tuesday morning through
Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Lakeshore
Flood Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
Tuesday afternoon.

* Locations... Niagara and Wayne counties.

* Lake Shore flooding... the combination of High Lake levels and
wave action may worsen flooding in low lying areas along the
Lake Ontario shoreline.

* Timing... from early Tuesday morning through late Tuesday
afternoon.

* Impacts... flooding and erosion may worsen in low lying areas
along the immediate Lakeshore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for
Lakeshore flooding are expected to develop. Residents on or near
the shore should take action to protect property... and listen for
later statements or warnings.

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southern Wayne and
Ontario counties...

At 801 am EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Victor to near Canandaigua to near
Vine Valley. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Geneva, Canandaigua, Newark, Lyons, Palmyra, Victor, Clifton Springs,
CLyde, Phelps and Bloomfield.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 45 and 42.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
