Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 2:55 AM EST Feb. 22, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
northeastern Albany County in east central New York...
south central Saratoga County in east central New York...

* until 245 PM EST Thursday

* at 250 am EST, the Mohawk River upstream ice jam has released as
the volume of water was moving downstream toward Crescent dam and
Cohoes Falls. Water levels will rise along the Mohawk River in
these areas and may result with higher than normal water levels.
If you live near the Mohawk River, seek higher ground and listen
to local emergency management and law enforcement officials.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cohoes, Green Island, Waterford, Halfmoon, Boght Corners, Crescent,
Grays Corners, Dunsbach Ferry, Crescent Station and Mohawk View.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Turn around dont drown.
