* until 815 PM EDT.

* At 718 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Westerlo to near north-South Lake Campground to
Hurley, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Poughkeepsie, Kingston, New Paltz, Hudson, Catskill, Saugerties,
Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, Plattekill, Pleasant Valley, Hurley,
Claverack, Wappingers Falls, Livingston, New Baltimore, Ravena,
Coxsackie, Highland, Pine Plains and Clermont.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

building.

... Heat advisory in effect from 11 am to 8 PM EDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a heat
advisory, which is in effect from 11 am to 8 PM EDT Monday.

* Heat index values... up to 99 due to temperatures around 90,
and dewpoints in the lower 70s.

* Timing... Monday afternoon.

* Impacts... heat illnesses likely for those spending prolonged
periods of time outdoors or in non-air conditioned locations.
Prolonged heat is most dangerous for yound children and the
elderly. Car temperatures can reach lethal temperatures in
minutes.

* Location... capital district and Mid-Hudson valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
