Issued: 3:14 PM EST Dec. 11, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 PM this evening to
6 PM EST Wednesday...

* what... snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the commute on Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches through Tuesday morning. Then, an
additional 2 to 5 inches of snow from Tuesday afternoon through
Wednesday. This will bring storm totals to between 3 to 8
inches... with localized higher amounts in heavier lake effect
snow bands.

* Where... in Pennsylvania, Susquehanna and northern Wayne
counties. In New York, Yates, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung,
Tompkins, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan

* When... from 10 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* Additional details... the first portion of the storm will bring a
period of light to moderate snow tonight. There will be a lull
in the snow late Tuesday morning, before an Arctic frontal
boundary moves through bringing snow squalls Tuesday afternoon,
then lake effect snow showers Tuesday night and Wednesday. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and
drifting snow late Tuesday night and especially on Wednesday.
