* Where... Lexington, Richland, Lee and Sumter counties.

* When... until 10 am this morning.

* Additional details... temperatures were well below freezing
early this morning. Despite a drying wind, there may be areas
of black ice on some roads because of lingering moisture from
yesterday's precipitation and the freezing temperatures.
Temperatures will remain below freezing over much of the area
during most of the morning. Drive with caution. Wind chill
values will be 10 to 20 degrees this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This Winter Weather Advisory for black ice means there may be
black ice on area roadways. Black ice results from standing water
that freezes on the Road. Black ice looks like wet pavement, but
it is really a very thin sheet of ice on the Road. Use caution
when traveling. The latest Road conditions for the state you are
