The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Snoqualmie river near Carnation
* from Sunday morning to Monday afternoon.
* At 11:15 PM Saturday the stage was 48.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 54.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage around 8 am Sunday
and crest near 57.5 feet around 5 PM Sunday. The river will fall
below flood stage early Monday morning.
* Impact... at 56.0 feet, the Snoqualmie river will cause widespread
flooding from Fall City downstream through Carnation and Duvall...
inundating much of The Farm land and numerous roads.

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the South Fork stillaguamish river near Granite Falls
* from late tonight to Sunday afternoon.
* At 11:15 PM Saturday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage around 2 am Sunday
and crest near 14.2 feet around 5 am Sunday. The river will fall
below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet, the South Fork stillaguamish river will cause
flooding along the river and tributaries. A stage of 14 feet
corresponds to phase 2 in the Snohomish County Flood Warning
system.

* Flood Warning for
the tolt river near Carnation
* from late tonight to Sunday afternoon.
* At 9:15 PM Saturday the flow was 2447 cfs.
* Flood flow is 5000 cfs.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood flow around 5 am Sunday
and crest near 5050 cfs around 5 am Sunday. The river will fall
below flood flow Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 3500 cfs, the tolt river will spill over its banks with
water over 353rd Ave NE and some driveways in the san souci area.
This river level on the tolt corresponds to a phase 2 flood in the
King County flood system.

* Flood Warning for
the Snoqualmie river near the falls
* from late tonight to late Sunday night.
* At 8:30 PM Saturday the flow was 6254 cfs.
* Flood flow is 20000 cfs.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood flow around 4 am Sunday
and crest near 35430 cfs around 11 am Sunday. The river will fall
below flood flow Sunday afternoon.
* Impact... at 30000 cfs, the Snoqualmie river will cause widespread
flooding of pasture lands and roads along the river from the town
of Snoqualmie downstream through Fall City. Roads that may become
flooded include Fall City-Carnation... Tolt Hill... and Novelty flats
roads. This river level on the Snoqualmie corresponds roughly to a
phase 3 flood in the King County flood system.

* Flood Warning for
the Skykomish river near Gold Bar
* from late tonight to late Sunday night.
* At 9:30 PM Saturday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage around 3 am Sunday
and crest near 17.1 feet around 5 am Sunday. The river will fall
below flood stage Sunday early afternoon.
* Impact... at 17.0 feet, the Skykomish river will cause flooding from
near index downstream through Sultan to the Snoqualmie. Flood
waters will cover numerous roads... including Ben Howard Rd...
index-Galena Rd and tualco loop Rd. Flooding in the town of Sultan
will begin. A stage of 17 feet on the Skykomish river corresponds
to a phase 3 in the Snohomish County flood program.

Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 3:43 PM PDT Oct. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through late Sunday night...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Washington and west central Washington,
including the following counties, in northwest Washington,
Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, Skagit, and
Whatcom. In west central Washington, King, Lewis, Snohomish,
and Thurston.

* Through late Sunday night

* heavy rain is forecast to fall beginning this afternoon and
continuing through Sunday morning. The period of heaviest rain
will be tonight into early Sunday morning with the focus of
rainfall in the Cascades from about Stevens Pass southward.
Less rain is forecast for the north Cascades and Olympics.
There is still a chance the heavy rain could spread to the
northern Cascades and Olympics. The Flood Watch remains in
effect for all counties in western Washington with the
exception of island and San Juan counties.

* Minor flooding is forecast on most rivers flowing out of the
Cascades from the Skykomish river southward, with a few rivers
cresting in the moderate flood category. Other rivers in the
area could also flood. In addition, urban and small stream
flooding is possible beginning tonight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
