Hi Crossroads!

That was a nice dry Arizona type heat, huh? And the breeze felt pretty good...

Good Morning {{Bangor}}!

Haven't stopped by in a long while. Things are busy here. Finally getting the rain, been out playing in the plants, the weeds are trying to take over. And now we have the pool up and going. The rain has me working on that everyday.

Hope all is good.

Have a Great Day! :-)

Is there a {{Rays of Sunshine}} out there lurking and reading? I hear you on the busy part. I spent the last 3 days away from the computer doing some inside work on the man cave. Cloudy and drizzle mid 50's 3 days in a row it was perfect for inside work that I have been putting off. This afternoon a little sun and mid 60's, my lawn will need mowing when it dries out...

All is well on my end. I see on the radar that your getting more drought buster this afternoon...

Have a Great Weekend :-)

Shaping up to be a normal week of sun finally I see! Overnight temps are still just too darn cool for me. Low 40's tonight then back up to low 50's next week. The only hinderance this brings is having to close the windows at night...that is just too darn chilly (low 40's) and in the morning when I go to work at 6am it's 44 out and im freezing my head off and I feel like I shouldn't be. Ah soon enough. I hate how short our Summer's are sometimes, but when you consider the alternative I would take this anyday.

Day length: 15h 21m Can't complain!

Our longest day is 15 hours 36 minutes

44 would be a heat wave in January LOL!

The overnight chill keeps the biting bugs at bay :-)

What's a gnat? Is that what we call black flies up here? They come first, about mid June overnight 50's. Mosquitoes get bad in July when we finally get overnight 60's...but I don't get too many here in the so-called "City" LOL. They like the woods and swampy areas...

Thanks for the clarification Sts. We get midges up here sometimes in August. The black flies can't penetrate the screens but they are tolerant down to 50-55 degrees...

Our black flies are mid June to early July then they are gone. They like the cool nights and the damp vernal ponds. They look like specks of pepper and they swarm. Mosquitoes are not so bad up here they like it warmer and we only get about 6 weeks of that early July to mid August. But like I said, here in the cement jungle, they are not so bad. They like woods and swampy areas...

Crossroads-- I heard the black flies were out already along the coastal areas. None here in town yet...

Sts-- This is perfect June weather a little chilly in the mornings, but just right in the afternoon...

Are you sure it's June?

You wouldn't be pulling my leg would you?

It doesn't feel like June.

I feels more like April.

Some times I wonder if Summer will ever make it here.

Turn on some heat.

I haven't had the heat on since the end of April. Closing the apartment windows on a chilly evening seems to do the trick.

LMAO Heat index 221....I remember one time when the weather channel had somebody mess with the numbers and it said:
Conditions at Bangor--
Sun with blowing sand and fog
Visibility 2-4 feet
Wind ESE 240MPH gusting to 300MPH

My guess is it was a disgruntled employee who toyed with the computer program...

Hey, Walker!

You mean to tell me that your nights still get down to upper 30's and lower 50's?! Your daylight lasts longer, too. We've been getting light about 5:45 or 6 am and we're dark by 9 at night.

Hope you've been doing good. How's the garden?

I don't know about Walker's lows but here in Ellsworth (30 miles from Bangor) lows are in the 60's this time of year LOL something sounds off. I mean here now it is 10pm and it's 66 and 88% humidity, normal late June temps to me. I just noticed the record lows, most of those occured before I was born!

Good Morning {{Bangor}}!

Sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile. Not much time on the blogs these days.

The rain back back then left and now it's back again. Between the house and the yard I've been staying busy. Yeah,it's a good thing.
Enjoying playing in the dirt.

Last week was a flooding week here and now that's it's dried out I'm back playing again. Hoping we don't see anything like that again.

We both know what it feels like to walk in mushy dirt. Hopefully you'll dry out soon.

Have a Great Day and stay dry.!!! :-)
