OUCH!!!!

Just when you think things are running smoothly, BANG. Another whopping great repair bill. It's like the stuff just waits to catch you unaware.

Been like that this past year with my teeth. They seem to be going down line a line of dominos. Implant, multiple crowns, fillings....

I feel like I live my life, looking over my shoulder for what's coming next.

check your WU mail.

#101 - ouch! And what's worse, we thought that was just the price of stopping/slowing the greenhouse gases and ozone layer. But it seems that was all made up, not real!
Great parting tune for the blog, I hope you see this before the comments vaporize!

Good Afternoon, G/G!! ~ Believe it or not, I was so tempted to post REM's "End of the World" for my end blog but, fortunately, I decided to go another route last minute. I've always loved REM and this great tune/title is so suitable for a wide variety of reasons or occasions.

Looking forward to posting with you (hopefully, for some shared laughs ... and not so much sorrowful tears) ... at Sandi's big WU blog sendoff party held in a couple hours. We should do our best to get those high-spirited party hats on and muster up more upbeat tunes so to really boogie on outta here. Though WU's heading for the bottom, WE SHALL RISE on safer better blogging sites.

I now know what IBM stands for: I Bring Misery!

Great song and video, GG. Sorry to hear about the AC! That's one good thing, actually there are others, about living at the elevation I do here is that I don't need AC or heat. Or insulation. Just double walls and open close windows with some fans. We did buy G, who was born and raised on the gulf coast of Texas and is prone to his heat headaches a portable AC to use in the bedroom. Climate change has brought less trade winds and more heat which has been noticeable the last several years.

I will send you my email on WU mail also so we can stay in touch.

Good Morning All, very nice out. April Fools on me, my compressor on AC unit kacked. Came home and breaker was tripped. Had AC guy out he couldn't find anything wrong cleaned the contacts, reset breaker. Voila! Cool air again. Went out to compressor to button it up. The thing went BANG and then all the freon came hissing out too fast to recover. As usual if I am going to break something I will do it big.

Hi Shirley, yes the Bluebonnets are peaking early. Am going to try to drive out to some areas but this week is kind of full with work and colonoscopy (ugh). Kolaches are good but boy are they time consuming. I tried a couple doughs. Some are like biscuits even though they use yeast, may as well use Bisquick. I found a recipe that is more like a sweet yeast roll. Definitely a cold weather thing to bake.

Hi Sandi, thank you. I guess the last blog bash will be starting soon.

Hi WTS, boy am I glad I didn't buy a pinball machine this year. The new condenser, flush, R-22 retro fit on evaporator to 410a is rather pricey. Just the condenser is $1600 and he isn't doing mark up.

GG, Guess what I have a recipe for???? Wasn't it Kolaches you were into making awhile back? Every third weekend we go to a Mexican Restaurant right beside of Lifeway and I always go in to find little treats for the little kids at church. Tonight as I was browsing I happen to recall that last year I found an IDEALS Easter publication in there last year. And YES I found one tonight. It has a recipe for making Kolaches and Apricot Filling. How about that. Also has a Blueberry-Lemon Upside Down Cake, plus Easy Easter Brunch Casserole. How about that! I was excited to find the least expected thing in it.

Good Morning, it is just too nice to be inside or working in my own yard. Am heading off on a photo walk-a-about to Grapevine and get some shots for Flickr Challenge.

Hi Shirley, yes, have the new phone but probably not going to get around to having it turned on until next week due to the time it can possibly take to port a number and I need phone service at the moment.

Hi Mass, Mom says thanks. Yes, the different sites are all being a bit churlish. Funny about that big blank in Sandi's blog. It was only ten spaces or so when I gave up. Looks like it grew some more.

Hi Tony, basement is flooding? Must be spring. Hope you get it dried out soon.

Hi Sandi, Mom says thank. So funny about how the blank space just continued to grow. Glad Keeper got it sorted out.

Hi Bug, don't know if mom has looked at blogs but I'm sure she says thanks. Yeah, I have been running late for everything lately too ;-)

OKay, off to the great outdoors with camera in hand.

Hi G/G!! ~ I not only second Sandi's statement above, but also have to say you have provided me with one of the heartiest laughs ever concerning your most recent post left on Sandi's blog. You sure have a way of silently stating that you and others here will be leaving a large void in the heart of the WU website and blogs. I don't dare quote your post! ROFL!! I never knew what Sandi was talking about, until now, while discussing a similar incident that happened with Ylee (and his spacebar) awhile back. Too funny!!

One would think that APRIL FOOLS DAY had arrived a couple days early, for earlier this am, Calpoppy had set up her spectacular new blog over on the new Ark, but her descriptive text for all her posted pics was shown in Greek wording! Opa!!! Rob figured out that she couldn't copy a previous text that's now non-compliant with that which is provided for the new blog headers so it reverted to such. Now all is understood ... at least, I think for now. LOL!

Happy Birthday to your MOM. Hope your sister or you sent her some of those yummy chocs.

Weather can be so fickle can't it? Never know what's coming next o what is coming back. Take care. Still overcast here. I keep thinking perhaps the sun will come out and warm the house. Think I better click the thermostat perhaps. Have a good one, GG and OZ and everyone. Hi Mom, hope you are having a good birthday.

Am putzing around the house. Very nice outside so cleaning up yard a bit. The new phone is here. After I finish lunch am going to apply a wet application screen protector. It takes twelve hours to dry so really won't do anything with new phone until tomorrow. The old phone service is pre-paid up t the next two weeks so no real hurry.

Will call you later. Probably 8:30 your time so we can stay up and chat.

Love you Mom.

Well, guess there were a couple tornadoes the other night. an F1 came through Lewisville a few miles from here. The same area that got hammered with two inch hail a few days earlier. Thankfully it was short lived and not too much damage, well unless you were one of the ones hit.
Having the neighbors recycling bin wander over and throw up in my yard isn't too bad.

OZ!!!! So glad to hear from you. We were all worried. Glad you are okay. Sorry to know it was a bad one. Funny how one picture can bring an idea to how bad it was and the suffering. Again very glad you are okay. Between you not being around and the hurricane was quite worried. Please be sure to keep in touch with Sandi so she can let us know how you the dogs and new home are doing.

Hi Rob, that is a total deal. I think those guys would mutiny if I didn't post their pictures and tell the world how wonderful or annoying they are ;-)
Again, thank you for putting together the new blog site. I am seriously impressed you know how to do that.

Good Morning, the rain did show up at about 3:30am last night it was more wind than rain coming from the west dogonnit!

It was a hard wind right before trash day so I have the entire contents it seems of someones recycling bin in the form of plastic bottles, cans and paper in my yard. Will get out later and recycle it to my bin lol.

Quite sunny and pleasant outside am enjoying the view from the window. Cardinals and House Finches and Waxwings Oh My! Since sticking to safflower seeds, suet and the efforts of a territorial Mockingbird named Fluffy, the sparrows have left and I just get a handful of pretty birds that eat and leave. My porch is no longer a nasty mess of sparrow droppings. Thank you Fluffy. Fluffy likes shelled peanuts so I put a few on the porch rail a couple times a week. He does not let any other bird on the porch.

Hi Tony, Roxie got to go to doggie camp for a couple of days. I think she had fun. Looks like she put on a bit of weight. The staff rather spoil her.

Hi Barb, oh that poor bird. He looks traumatized. Tough guy though to make it through that serious a dousing. So, are you going to bring more travel blogs to the Ark2? Really hope so. Really enjoy your virtual trips through Germany and the one trip to Turkey.

Hi Mass, I hope more than just a handful of bloggers pull their weather stations from IBM/WU. No free data from the people without giving back to the community.

Hi Calpoppy, that was some big hail quite close. The gal that texted the two inch hail was only a few miles away. Yeah, I kind of think we all have been keeping extra busy just to get used to the idea that how we meet again is going to change. It is also hard to go between several social media sites and keep up with ones home life.

Well, my new phone is delayed and won't be here until tomorrow, so off to the back yard instead of watching the door for the UPS guy that does a pretty quick dash if you are not right at the door.

Hi Mass, WU keeps saying I'm getting rain. The maps in your blog say probably not.

Hi G/G!!!~ I, myself, am hoping that WU's now lost its full credibility or ability to correctly display one's current or future weather forecasts since ... now keep holding tightly onto your winter hats, folks, .... our Friday and Saturday forecasts each call for .... drumroll please .... 5- 8 inches of heavy snow or a potential accumulation of perhaps 10-16 inches altogether???!!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!! My bet is that they're picking up the wrong weather signals for you but will somehow be accidentally right on the money with me! HAVE MERCY!! Naturally, all this stuff begins on the last day of March, through .. uh hem, Sat. am, April Fools Day, and just when much of our previous snow has finally melted to where some nice green grass is shown. Who the heck is spreading the false rumor that the Northeast has been boycotting spring and perhaps even summer?? That person needs to be sought, found and dealt with immediately! Grumble, grumble, grumble .....

Hopefully, we won't lose any power due to any heavy weight issues (caused by lots of snow accumulation), for it would be like a final stab in my back if I couldn't access my computer on Saturday, April Fools Day, .. ya right, ha, ha, joke on me,.. for the big WU blog sendoff party! May our fate in Mass be miraculously kind!

I haven't made up a blog yet at the Ark, got to get going on that one. Just been to darn busy!

Hi G/G! ~ Well, I guess you, me, Sandi and a miniscule bunch are what's left of a dying WU breed of consistent bloggers. LOL! Won't be long before we're scattered about elsewhere on the blogosphere but, thankfully, I'm gradually becoming accustomed to my great new digs on the new Ark. Flickr's good but I still have issues with figuring out how to download a pic once uploaded to he system. Other than that, blogging with the 'Survivor's Group' is a snap.

We're still caught in a recycled mode of cold, damp and dank outside. Tomorrow allegedly holds a temporary reprieve with temps climbing to above 50F, but I'll believe it when I feel it. LOL!

That pic barbamz posted below is heart-breaking. I sure hope that cockatoo manages or managed to recover without being physically or emotionally scarred!

Good Morning All, dodged the bullet. My phone blew up with texts from people I know that got two hail and wanted to know how everyone else was doing. Not sure how to take the pictures from the text messages and posting them here, but ya all have seen pictures of two inch hail and tape measures.

Hi Mass, the pinball fest was a blast. Really lucked out again. Just a few miles northeast of me it hit pretty hard. I just stood watching an amazing lightning show from the kitchen window.

Hi G/G!! ~ So relieved to have found out that your area remained out of the box or zone for any tornadic touchdowns! I was watching The Weather Channel earlier Sun. evening and was concerned. Glad, too, that a close friend of mine living in Arkansas wasn't affected as this threat was seemingly far-reaching! Quite the tumultuous weather down there! We have a freezing rain coming in early am, so it will make our roads very slick for commuters. Happy that I don't have to commute anywhere later today. We may reach near 58F on Tuesday but will be short-lived. I can't wait till warmer spring weather finally takes hold here, as we're nearly into April and winter weather won't release!

Love the pics you took of the "Pinball Festival" down there! Many moons ago, while in my early 20's, I would occasionally play pinball at let's say a "watering hole" after playing women's softball in a summer league some miles from where I grew up. I used to do pretty well at pinball and found it, at times, addictive. Well, it's been decades since I played either sport, but those fun memories live on. In any case, happy that you made it there and really had a great time!

I'm still in shock over how I managed to transfer most of my WU blog over to Rob's new web/blogging test site. So thankful, that he'll be able to transfer all that data into the personal ones once he's done formulating and testing things out himself. I would have hated to lose all that I accumulated and achieved here over these past eight years and/or after setting everything up over on his site to boot My IE favorites and Google bookmarks are loaded to the gills as it is, so I didn't want to press my luck adding more sites onto them. It's exciting how things are taking shape on the new Ark and looks like we'll be able to continue with all the info. and fun we shared here. I think I'll still be going through WU withdrawals for awhile but, hopefully, it will all soon taper off. Probably, because there are now three daily blog sites to visit which will keep me incredibly busy! LOL!

Sleep tight and will catch you later tomorrow!

Hi All, looks like some weather coming to North Texas. Wind really picked up. Have well developed mammatus clouds over head, flat grey the south and big stuff to the north. Radar looks like most will miss my house.

Pinball Festival was awesome! Here are a few pics. Gots to go to bed and get up early for work.

All kinds of Party Animals came out for the Festival. Look, a Unicorn!

Perhaps it was the influence of Elvira. Cassandra Peterson was signing autographs and pinball paraphernalia as she is a favorite them on Pinball machines.

Dad is starting this little tyke young.

Now this guy is in the Zone!

Well, that's it until next year.

Hi WTS, yes I have been a bit more play and goof off mode than work around the house mode. Heck, it's spring.

Hi Mass, am totally jazzed your weather blog will make it to Rob's. I just stopped at the one here after looking up at the clouds. So far so good. Still in the watch box though.

Hi Sandi, if I were ever to travel back to England, my itinerary would include several of the garden centres I had seen featured in a magazine. Wow. Just wow. You are so lucky to have all those.

It seems in GB you all take gardening quite seriously.

You got to believe it!! We definitely do!
According to Wiki there are over 2500 garden centres in the UK and that does not include the garden departments at all the Homebase and B&Q stores (Like your Lowes I believe) ... even some supermarkets sell plants, pots and composts.

G/G! ~ Great news! I've pretty much been able to copy many of the WU maps seen on my WU blogsite onto a newly developed one under Masshysteria on Rob's testing site. I've miraculously gotten the hang of it. It shouldn't be too difficult to change the same header each month to reflect each one and the seasons. Check it out when you have the chance. I plan to add the Unysis maps a bit later. I figured out how to insert and link up all posts as well. Spacing and indenting is a breeze due to extra functional buttons offered, so now I won't have to keep manually typing in the space code to center everything on a page. What a relief!

Here's a direct link to my new tester blogging site: Masshysteria's testing blogsite on the newArk2. I believe you've already joined as a member there so access should be no problem. Let me know what you think when you get the chance.

Ylee's webcam site is phenomenal! It shows up clearer, larger and brighter than it did here on WU! He included great selections and used newer additional weatherstickers not seen here. I've got to find out where he procured them and if they're free.

Hi All, it was so windy yesterday that Roxie didn't get much of a walk. Getting pelted with things and clouds of dust sort of took the fun out of it. All that wind brought on a Fire Warning. Good news, lots of rain this morning. Yay.

Today is the start of the Pinball Festival! Won't be around much.

Hi Mom, yes I'm still alive. Am going to have to get you signed on to Flickr or the Ark and Facebook. Well, you are already on Facebook. Funny how neither of us ever used it. You were in my "Friend Request" queue for a year before I went through it.

Anyhow, bought my new phone. Hope it works good. It is a US version unlocked Galaxy Edge S7 for $150 what I have seen the phone for even at ATT stores. It is AT&T branded which is fine because I'm switching to them for better signal. May switch to h20 later after I get all the AT&T updates for the phone if they are cheaper. Pretty much assuming these were someones order mistake hence the good price at this web site but will need ATT updates.

Now off to take Roxie to doggie camp. She is pretty damp from being outside. Will need to bring a towel and dry her off more at camp.

Hi Sandi, so funny to see compost along with groceries. Not something you would see here. It seems in GB you all take gardening quite seriously. Probably why I like you :-)

Mass - " I can still recall opening up the bottle lids to find cream sitting on the top. One could either remove to use for coffee or shake it up to combine."

As a child our milk was like that but I now have healthy 1% fat milk (and skimmed milk) so no cream left in it. There is actually more calcium in today's milk by volume than there was back then. The reason I keep the milkman - I am the only one in the street who does - is the company are called "Milk and More". The deliver things like eggs, cream, fresh bread, potatoes etc, but also garden multi-composts and soil enhancers etc. That saves me having to fetch them - carry them to my car - lift them into my car and bring them home. The milkman delivers them right to my back gate! Perfect.

Good Morning, have decided on splurging or at least hoping it comes down in price a bit on the Galaxy S7. The S8 is coming out in April so hoping for price drop on S7.
A new co-worker has the S7 and it is a very nice phone that takes very nice pictures. I hope my model is as robust as his because he drops it all the time and it still works.

Another beautiful day. Have just finished breakfast so need to hurry outside and enjoy before the HEAT comes. Then Roxie and I will be stuck inside like it was winter.

Hi Sandi, I do use powdered milk for my coffee and tea because it does not cool it down. (I use a lot in my tea.) Am so surprised you still get milk deliveries. When I was in London during the 80's it amazed me to see bottles of milk on inner city apartment steps.

Hi Mass, wheni lived in MInnesota definitely did some fancy snow men. Would sometimes spray paint them. Twas good times but am a bit old for -10f now.

Hi WTS, I see you are serving Scooter for dinner ;-) Didn't get around to painting house. Was too nice out.

Hi Tony, am heading out door now with Miss Roxie.

Good morning GG. A couple of days ago the great grand daughters had some chocolate flavored breakfast stuff, it was good and left chocolate milk behind.
Have a good day.

Hi G/G! ~ Guess you're still outside basking in the glow of that warm weather your way and who could blame you! It's a balmy 17F degrees here this early am and there's nothing here to bask in except being under the covers while the sunlight partially streams through a tightly closed small window. Does that count? LOL!

I see where Sandi, via her previous comment, thought you used powered milk for breakfast rather than having accidentally added a vanilla-flavored powdered protein mix to it. Easy enough mistake given my previous statement about the Cheerios episode the other day. I envy her, though, for still being able to have a milkman daily deliver milk to her door. It's been decades since we had such local dairies provide the same service for a then very reasonable fee. They're now all obsolete! I can still recall opening up the bottle lids to find cream sitting on the top. One could either remove to use for coffee or shake it up to combine. Back then, no one seemed to know about high cholesterol induced foods (butter not margarine) and beverages (cream, etc.) and its correlation to clogged arteries, etc. It sure made everything taste so good but not helpful to one's health. Boy, how we've evolved since then!

Have a great Thursday and will check back with you again later!

Milk power....?
I haven't used milk power for over 50 years! When I was a teenager a milk powder called Marvel was fashionable to put in your coffee - it was useful at college when we didn't have fridges in our rooms, as it didn't go off... but would no more think of using it now than eating cold cabbage!
I have my milk delivered to the door at 4 am each morning... yes - we still have milk deliveries here. You pay a premium but I like to pick up a "bottle" of milk off the doorstep to make my first coffee of the day!! lol

Hmm, painting the outside of house - something I have been thinking of but putting off. I like the color scheme but need to see if the 13 year old colors are still available. Now is the season, will get too hot soon enough... Enjoy the weekend!

G/G!! ~ Boy, what it must be like to be feel summery-like weather right now! I've almost forgotten myself. Every time we get a hint of a near normal, early spring-like day, wintry weather suddenly returns with a vengence to keep disrupting the process. I think Tony and I will soon have to take up ice and/or snow sculpturing as a hobby. I seriously doubt Texas will be suffering our plight but, if miraculously so, we'll be happy to lend you our ice sculpting tools. In the meantime, hope you're able to enjoy your warm summery weather down there to its fullest!! One can only imagine the lovely pics you'll be able to take with that great camera of yours! I'll be checking for them on Flickr or the new Ark?!

Chuckled at your comment, on Tony's site, about your earlier breakfast Cheerios having swum on a sea of vanilla flavored (instead of plain), protein powdered induced milk. Hey, I can easily make that oversight while attempting to correctly read labels in the grocery store as well. I'm overdo for new glasses!
