Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there was quite a large thunderbumper build over central Sonora last night and early this morning. It extendrd out in the Sea and headed toward Puerto Escondido. The storm does not look like it made it all the way across but the Loreto/Puerto Escondido area is covered with remnant clouds at 6am however it looks like they will pass to the west by mid morning. I’d imagine they saw some lightning in that area this morning.
The rest of the Sea has a few fluffys floating around hear and there and looking out my window I can see a band of whispys off to the east but in general it is clear.
Looking south I can see a nice thumper started just north of Puerto Vallarta and has been working its way north toward Mazatlan for several hours. It looks like it will pass to the east of Mazatlan before it breaks up.
There is another squall just off the coast from Cabo Corrienties that is diminishing rapidly, however the remnant clouds will be there until most likely late morning.
Looking further south I can see that there is a general flow along the coast to the north and several squalls just off the coast are moving north with the flow and not moving inland.
The Tehuantepec has some remnant clouds over it this morning from thunderbumpers over Guatemala this morning.
Yesterday morning there was no northern flow in the basin. This morning there is and convection building along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough is moving north up into the basin and there is considerable cloudiness in the basin this morning.
There is nothing cooking in our Tropical Kitchen this morning however looking out in the Caribbean there is near Gale force winds around Cuba where a tropical wave is this morning. It will be looking for a lonely low to stipulate once it enters the Eastern Pacific basin. There is a weak low developing near Costa Rica that it could find attractive. We’ll see?
That’s it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where there is a series of weak systems that will be moving through the Great Northwest the rest of this week. Portland and Seattle will most likely see some light showers into the weekend.
To the south high pressure will continue to dominate Southern Oregon and California into Friday. A low trough will droop over the central coast to deepen the marine layer over the weekend. The low will dip south from central California south over the weekend and bring a cooling trend starting Saturday. It looks like next weeks temperatures in southern California will be slightly below normal with overnight coastal low clouds and fog.
Looking now over to the southwest where as high pressure strengthens the southwest will continue to dry out. There will be a lingering chance of some afternoon and evening thunderbumpers mainly over the high elevations. It will continue to hot in the 106-109 ranges the rest of the week in the Tucson area. Early next week the high pressure will weaken enough to open the door again for monsoon moisture to return to the state.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea south to around San Franciscito bay will see brisk winds to around 20 today diminishing to the moderate ranges for Friday and Saturday.
The central Sea in the center of the northern crossing today will also see brisk winds to around 20 diminishing Friday and Saturday.
With the exception of around Punta Chivato which will also see brisk winds today the rest of the central Sea will see moderate southerlies today.
The southern Sea will continue to see light to moderate SW winds for the 3-day forecast period.

Temperatures today about the same as yesterday and be in the mid to high 90s.

73s Y’all
