We had the 2012 Hampton Beach Sand Sculpture Masters competition last weekend.

Perfect weather with highs in the 80's, low humidity, and no haze. Not many people think of New Hampshire as 'Surf City' but the summer months are quite nice up here. The ocean temperatures have been running a little above normal this year.

These pictures are just some of the competition. The art work is amazing. They start on Thursday and have about 48 hours before judging on Saturday. What they can accomplish in that time is truly amazing.

I am told the sculptures are actually helped by a little rain, it apparently makes them last a little longer.
