There is a slight chance of isolated storms today, but better chance of rain returns late this week. Few storms could be strong to severe each day with large hail and gusty winds. Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, a tropical wave associated with a surface low pressure system is located about 750 miles Southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This disturbance is showing signs of organization and environmental conditions are conducive for some gradual development to occur over the next few days. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 20%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves Westward at 15mph. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days.
