Snow Advisorys have been issued for Kansas City and the surrounding areas

The National Weather Service issued a Snow advisory late last night after issuing a Winter Storm Watch Friday Morning.

...SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM
CST SUNDAY...

A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM
CST SUNDAY.

SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON FROM EASTERN KANSAS INTO
WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI BY THIS EVENING AS A WINTER STORM MOVES INTO
THE AREA. SNOW INTENSITIES WILL INCREASE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
TOMORROW MORNING.

EXPECT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 4 AND 6 INCHES BY SUNDAY MORNING.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY
TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

Here is my forecast

Today: A 40 percent chance of snow after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 34. East southeast wind between 6 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Periods of snow. Low around 24. Southeast wind between 10 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Sunday: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of freezing drizzle. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 28. Southeast wind 5 to 13 mph becoming north northeast. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Sunday Night: A chance of flurries. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. North northwest wind between 3 and 7 mph.
