Sat. May 12, 2012:
It is Mother's Day Weekend. My mother is in Heaven where she is at peace and I do send my Step Mother who is a very nice lady and good for my Dad a Mother's Day card.
But here in SE Fla, we have a nice big 3 family get together Mother's Day Brunch at a local Country Club in a beautiful setting. We reserve the outside patio for our bunch of around 25 people.
It has become one of the women in the family's favorate holiday meals! Hubby and I take his parents. Greg & Pam and the boys have Pam's Mother and Sister and sometimes a friend. Ellen & Christian and the kids have Christian's family of about 12 people. Pam's family and Christian's family are all great people and we are all from the same neighborhood and have known each other for years so it is nice to share this family holiday together.
I hope you are celebrating the "Mothers" in your world this weekend.

Here are my weather Maps. This one had to be removed from my above the blog spot; that is what was causing my computer problems last week.

-------------------------------------
I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.

Leaving home early morning, Harley was so happy he got to go with us this time. He loves road trips with his Mama and Daddy!
Bad Photography. The deck was just pressure cleaned and he was just groomed so both are white! Can't see either of them well!
My first Grandchild, Aspen, and my baby, Harley, in chair together in the Patio. They are both Bichons and so dirty. Their white fluffy hair is like a velcro dust mop and impossible to keep white unless you bath them everyday and keep them inside all of the time!
This is for Veracity's Blog!!!
Oh Yes, our Harley was helping us with yardwork today! He is a dirt dobber after wallowing in the dirt all afternoon!
Harley in all his shaggy glory before going to the groomers. Of course he looks "cute" with his shaggy hair but it mats so much it must be kept a little shorter!
Harley after a visit to the groomer. Notice the nice handsome profile and the cleaner and leaner look!!
Harley was in no mood today for a photo shoot in his WUBA Lime Green Tshirt and his Fushia Bandana (please don't tell Poppy I put a Fushia Bandana on Harley!!!) But I did get one that I can post to show is he ready to Patrol!!!
Harley after being at the groomer. Got his summer haircut; doesn't look so much like a Bichon with short hair but it feels better.

Thanks for your posts Fox, Code, Jeff, BC, Scott, Ylee, Sandi, Rob, Skye, and everyone I did not mention. Thank you for your comments.
I am too tired to do anything this afternoon....
We did not have a cloud in the sky the entire trip.. sunshine and warm weather.. perfect.
but here at home got 3 " of rain while I was gone on top of prev rain...
South Florida is really wet for this time of year..
anyway, so m uch to type about but I am pooped....
we did go pick up Harley's remains this afternoon, he is in a small nice wood box with his name on gold plaque.... We are so glad we did this.It is very worth it.And my goodness we have gotten so many sympathy cards and things...
It has been a week today and the hurting is easing up some but we can both shed tears easily. We are still trying to break our old habits with him...
But I promise Iwill be back tomorrow... Did Foxx put any pictures on her blog??? will go check.
So sorry about Harley. That's a rough one.
Sweet family pics as always, and I loved seeing the one with Harley in his Storm Dog outfit!
Happy to see the WU salute this year. Hope you and yours have a safe hurricane season.
:)
I'm glad I got into the office a bit "early".
Awww man...
Well, ya know I'm rarely on WU these days, but it was indeed sad news when I caught this of Harley's passing... :(
Always tough losing our wonderful lil pals, my sympathies to ya, Gams.
Best wishes for better days!
Like Doc, I haven't been around all that much lately and I had no idea Harley had gotten so much worse. Bless his heart.
I apologize for being late in offering my condolences and sympathy. I hate this part of having pets.
I'd popped over 'cause we've got a couple of birthday boys on Thursday. Got Dad's card in the mail. I'm not going up until Fathers Day weekend. Still have to confirm but I think that's when I'll go.
Dad told me not to worry about getting there on his birthday, since I was just up.
((((HUGS)))
Be back tomorrow to check out the photos from your trip;0)
Our Prince is doing better, but on a lot medicine and needs to be monitored closely, but he is more himself, hopefully with love and care he will be around for a while longer.
Hope you have a chance to rest up after your.I always I need a vacation after going on vacation.
I know some of you just posted about Harley.
Thank you so much...
It is still hard, over 15 years of Habits of Loving and taking care of Harley are hard to break.
We got back his remains Monday and he is in a beautiful little wooden box with his name on a gold plate. He and a few of his items will have a place on our book shelf in family room.
I loaded up a bunch of pictures from last weekend... going to set up new blog thread now.
and put the pictures in that blog.
