Tuesday, June 12, 2012: I took Rylee & Nolan all day; we spent the morning at Flamingo Gardens.
Wednesday, June 13, 2012: Nolan was in his preschool and Rylee's camp has not yet started so she and I spent the morning at Butterfly World.
And I have the pictures to prove it. About 36 or so!
It may take a while to put them all here. I did get them all approved thru WU!
-------------------------------------- ---
Here are my weather Maps. This one had to be removed from my above the blog spot; it was causing my computer problems.

-------------------------------------
I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.

Do you need some clam-digging waders?
Hope this Debby moves on soon!
The irony about old men and good sports cars is that when they are young, they couldn't afford Corvettes and Mustang Cobras and Porsche 911s; now that they can afford them, they can't get in and out of them, and they like a Cadillac ride! :)
Glad you had a "veg out" day! :)
Last night I was so tired, too. I decided to re-arrange the office and pack up some "stuff" belonging to someone else, and box them in the garage! I also got rid of some of my old stuff. Things I never have looked at, needed or even remembered I had!! lol
When I finally got to bed at midnight, I fell straight to sleep and slept until 8 am! I am usually awake at 6am!
Enjoy your Monday :)
Good morning my friends, thanks for stopping by.
About this rain situation here are my records.
1.0" Last Monday
1.4" Wednesday
1.2" Saturday
1.6" This morning Monday.
for 5.2" of rain from this system in the past 8 days.
Enough I say. We are molding down here..
and so many places across the Country are dry and hot and would love some of this rain!
What does sunshine look like anyway?
Over on FB it is so funny because you can look at the main "wall" and immediate know who are WU folks..
the ones that put up their weather forecast every morning with their good morning greetings!
BF, YES I need some hip wadders here! But seriously our canals and drains and pools are over flowing. If this system goes rouge and brings more rain we will be in trouble!
Ylee, that is so right! The desire for a muscle car starts young in little boys. Our grand sons all love that car. But he is starting to complain about how hard it is to get in and out these days. I do hope we restore it eventually and keep it around.
Sandi, do it someday it feels good. I mean, sure sometimes when we are sick we are forced to stay in bed most of the day. but to stay there just to "rest" feels so good. Especially in a quiet empty house. But today the rest is over. Today I plan on hanging some picture and the foray mirrow and make some headway here. There is still much to do before I am "finished".
The electrician must come and finish up his part and hang the chandeliar. The window treament person is coming to measure the large double window for plantation shutters. And I need to select new lamps, throw pillows for sofa and window treatments for the sliders.
I may do a little something to the kitchen window. I don't want to cover it since it looks out on the patio and has a pass thru. But a little something would look nice.
So Thanks to you all for stopping by.
I see the models are still all over the place with Debby and she continues to move closer to Big Bend part of Fla. But has gone stationary once again so that usually means will change directions.
we will see.
Happy Monday!!
Hurricane Irene in either 1998 or 1999 got water into our garage 7" and almost got inside Vette just missed it. My SUV was only vehicle outside that did not get water inside. We could not get out of our neighborhood without a big pickup truck for 3 days!
RE: Kitchen window? How about a cheerful valance. Not curtain; just the valance. Something colorful and fun.
My former manager (she's now our director) actually emailed me from her cruise ship in 2008 for hurricane updates on Ike, et al. She was out there with three things to watch and her cruise had to change their itinerary to avoid them.
You know how much internet minutes COST you on those cruise ships? She was emailing me for updates daily!
I asked her, "Not that I mind but why in the world are you emailing me? Doesn't your captain keep you all updated?"
She said, "I like your updates better." LOL
Yes I am not doing shades over my kitchen window..
I am just doing a little tension rod so no need for hardware.. and going to drape a shear panel that I am using over the rest of the sliders... I may have to cut it down and make a seem but the price was right and I think I can do it.
I promise I will put up "finished" pictures eventually!!!
Today I bought 2 lamps for the family room aka living room (I don't have both just one big space to live in)
and they do not match. but I love them both and have been loving them for weeks now since I first saw them.
I took a chance because Home Goods only gets a few items and you can come back in a week and what you liked is gone...
I was lucky both of my lamps were still there.. and Hubby loved them.
Also got 5 throw pillows for the sofas...
and went to Bed Bath & Beyond and got hardware for sliders and white sheers to use ..
.but not covering those sliders up much.. just a small panel on the end of each slider...
not sure how this will come out but I am confident it will look good when I get it finished.
It is called decorating with imagination on a budget!
did her thing and went shoping.
Then Ellen picked up Rylee from Camp before coming to get Nolan and Rylee pulled out her first tooth here.
It has been "wiggly" for a almost a week now.. and she has been trying to get it to fall out by wiggling it non stop.. she wants the Tooth Fairy Money!
This afternoon she pulled it out and I have a picture!
Will try to get them uploaded..
also some of Noly and his Poppy sitting on back truck of the Vette.. NO ONE HAS EVER sat on that car before...
Poppy is losing his edge when it comes to the grandkids! LOL
Rylee lost her first baby tooth today at our house this afternoon.....
She got "grandparent's money" and tonight she will get Tooth Fairy Money..
And Hubby and Nolan had a Poppy & Grandson afternoon.. they sat on back of Poppy's Vette..
He says he wants to go back to Flamingo Gardens.
I must return the carpet cleaner I rented yesterday.
I love my rug in the living room but it gets so dirty I have to clean it every now and then.
I hear Noly.. got to go.. bbl
never mind, wasn't him but they should have been here 10 mins ago...
How are you?Pop in to read your blog, but so busy here at work, not a lot of time to blog.People up north of you are really getting nailed with rain.Drought map should look interesting after Debby departs.
Been crazy busy here also. Just got back from Flamingo Gardens with Nolan. He wanted to go see the Peacocks.
He likes to "stalk" them! They are all mating now so they will attack; surprise one did not turn around and peck him! But got him out safe and sound.
Yes, North Florida is all blue. Cannot wait to see this afternoon what it looks like...
We have not been getting too much measurable rain in the past 2 days. But today we are p/c and very windy.
TS Debby's winds whipping around from the SW.
Thanks for stopping by! I am so glad I only have a 3 day week this week. Doubt I could handle another long week anytime soon!
... Wind Advisory in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* Timing... gusty southwest winds will continue through early this
evening.
* Winds... southwest winds of 25 to 30 mph with frequent gusts of
40 to 45 mph.
* Impacts... people need to secure loose items that could blown
around in the strong winds this afternoon... and high profile
vehicles need to use caution while driving.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph
with gusts to near 40 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution. Make sure to secure loose objects as they can
be blown around by winds this strong.

That was some storm that moved thru here late yesterday afternoon.
Wind blew my yard apart and leaves and small branches down.
Only got .4" from that storm but it was a doozie.
Glad you are ok.
So if anyone keeping totals. Now standing at 5.6" of rain from last 9 days ... or is it 10 days from Debby!
She appears to have crossed the state now and is in the Atlantic.
Good morning everyone,
This is my every other Wed morning that I normally have all to my self.
I love it. Coffee made and getting ready to enjoy a cup or two. No kids until I pick them both up around 4pm.
And Ellen has private swim lessons this week after she gets off work so that means she does not pick up kids until around 7pm.....
Yesterday was a long day for me to chase to 2 yr old nearly 11 hours!
This morning a lady is coming out to measure the double window for the plantation shutters.
I think they take like 5-8 weeks to arrive.
I need to run some errands in the afternoon if I can.
Noly is in preschool today so I need to get some of these things done.
Just hope it does not rain anymore for a while but we have a large percentage of rain in our forecast until Sunday. Oh well.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
I did get a lot done around the house Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday I had Nolan all day and Rylee from 4-7pm.
Yesterday I did get up my bamboo rods over the sliders and got the white shears hung.
They turned out very good. Also bought a new throw rug for kitchen and foray.
Monday I did some shoping and got the new lamps and throw pillows. And Hung pictures.
The lady came yesterday morning and measured the double window for the plantation shutters which will be 4-6 weeks.
That should be the last thing left to do.
I will get more updated pictures soon as I completed the decorating part of the project.
But for now at work and very busy.
Enjoy your week.
She has an open blog if you want to stop by and
leave her a greeting!
Did you know the Cardinals was in Miami earlier this week?
I am out of touch with almost everything else.
I know , sad! LOL
So far work is going ok... same old problems every week...but not going to let them make me crazy.
After this week, next week I am off Wed & Thur so only working Fri & Sat.
then off 2 weeks in a row.
cannot wait!!!
well guess what, Betsey is probably going to have this baby natually before her C Section date of July 14th.
I am now leaving Sunday, I changed my ticket at a cost of $190! But I got to get there as soon as I can so I will be there to help with Baron when she goes into labor.
She has been in early labor and baby is in place and ready to come now.
I was suppost to leave Tuesday July 10th.
now I am leaving Sunday July 1st.
So, we will see what happens if little
Teagan Oliver arrives before Gamma gets
there or he behaves and waits until next week!
I need to set up a new blog thread before I leave.
Pool Party BBQ (we celebrated on 3rd so everyone could recover on 4th)..
So I have my tickets and trying to work and in between get things done a little quicker...
I may not be back her much. I do hope to set up a new thread but we will see...
Just saying hi. Great evening. Sitting on my balcony (with a beer, of course). Very pleasant 81 degrees now. Reached 88 today. Real summer for once. Of course it is only very temporary, till Sunday to be exact. Watching a thunderstorm drift off in the distance. Had a real doozy of a t-storm about 4 a.m. this morning.
