Good evening! Warm and windy today, with a few brief showers; may get some more tonight, I'm not sure!

Deer Trail is still working, for a change, as well as the rest of them!

Hopefully finish the Ark blog tonight! A cam blog without cams is well, you know...... :' )

Not sure if I'll be here for the blog party or not, Sandi! If the WUblogs are still here next Sunday night, I'll be here! Both my blogs are going "off the air" at midnight, April 2nd!

Better late than never, ChiThom! Come and join us over at the Ark!(I see Rob has already got you aboard, lol)

Snagging up stragglers, Rob? :' ) Well, that's what the above banners are for!

You'll still be able to get to know us and see the cams. Just in another venue. Happy to have you aboard.

Looking forward to you getting over to The Ark. :-)
Mass has 'mas'-tered it!
I have a blog and so does ycd... but we are the only three there yet in the Crew Quarters!

At the moment I will be glad when WU closes as I am getting dizzy dashing hither and thither!!!
Blog party starts at 8pm BST - (the clocks go forward tonight) next Saturday, and will go on until we all fall to sleep...Mike might be left talking to himself!!! lol

LATER - Well I suggest you do not click on the "recycle" function in the comment boxes in The Ark as I have just clicked on the one alongside your comment to me... wondering what it meant ... and Poof - your comment vanished!!

To me "recycle" means to use again - so I thought it might provided a "quote" function...? Sorry for banishing you - and I definitely don't fancy boot ground coffee!! lol

LOL
Some people just can't resist shiny new buttons.
Fear not. It doesn't really delete it but sends it to a recycle bin that works like the recycle bin on a computer. Admin can restore it with just a few clicks.

Here, if a blog owner accidentally deletes something I don't know how you go about getting it back or even if it is possible.

There is madness to my methods.

HI Ylee! ~ Regarding your comment on my site about Dracut webcam scenery being "a winter wonderland", I'd have to say yes and that the owner there didn't get the memo that it's officially spring and should be showing green pastures. I think, at this rate, one will just have to paint the supposed spring green areas into the cam well into April.

It was a balmy 16F degrees here when I woke up but should rise to a sunny 36F! I think the first week of April holds some hope with a forecast indicating temps to rise to 51F. The trick is to get these warmer temps to hold or rise!!

Glad you and Rob have figured out how to embed your webcams onto the new Ark2. That must have taken some doing, as I'm having trouble with some of the regular insertion and link buttons to properly work and can't do it manually as well. I came upon an instructional page for blockquotes, under "4 Rums", but was amazed that pages 3 and 4 were worded in Latin!! LOL! Great, more homework to do, as I wasn't raised a Catholic nor took Latin in high school, etc. Too funny! I think it's going to take me awhile to figure things out on the new Ark, but I'm definitely up for the challenge and any guidance anyone can give me. HELP!

Non De Multis! - Out of many (words written there), NONE, (were decipherable). LOL!.

Can't believe there's still penguins.....

Hi and Good Morning, Ylee! ~ Boy, you're absolutely right about this year's lingering penguin population (viewed within the posted Antarctican webcam)! I'd like to think that many of them are just hanging round to give us all a proper WU blog send off, but I have a feeling that more l'amour was in the air for these adorable mammals, than in previous years, which provided quite the extended population explosion... well, either that or they've suddenly learned about squatters rights! LOL! Hey, in any event, right now, I say just keep em coming into view! Hopefully, the cam can later be transferred over to Rob's site, for I'd truly miss watching those guys just hanging out even if only seasonally.

Good morning! Chilly north breeze this morning; started out in the upper 30s, supposed to struggle up to 50 later!

Had to fix the Deer Trail cam again. I think, after I run through the WU blogs, I'll start working on the Ark cam blog. Don't expect a flashy blog, at least to start. I have to learn a whole new way of doing himgs!

Tony, I'm glad I don't have to delete 3000+ blogs! 137 was bad enough!

It'll be good to see you over there, azg! I'm not on FB, either!

Sometimes, I don't know whether I'm coming or going, either, WW! Nice flicker!

I'm going to start spending a lot more time setting up shop over there, GG! So far, I've just been pushing buttons, seeing what they will do! :' )

It's officially my Monday, Rob! Gotta start the week sometime, I guess!

azg, I must add a word of thanks for always popping in and voting for the top ten cam blog! Not sure yet how we're going to do it, but there's only been a few blogs this year so far, and I'll try to have something for you all to vote on come January!

Work has been a PITA today; haven't been able to do very much online! :P

Fixed the feeder cam again; every once in awhile, they start reuploading it to YT a couple of times a day, for some reason.

Cal, I tried black as a test background a couple of years ago, but the comments from guests couldn't be seen, so I scrapped the idea until this one. Don't know how it'll work on the Ark, but I may try to do it again sometime!

Yeah, those were crazy days back then, Mass! I think the mod system worked pretty well in weeding out the yahoos!

Now that I've gotten to this point, I'm a little excited with what I can pull off going ahead! We'll see!

Hi Ylee! ~ Thanks for the beautiful synopsis you gave regarding each of your close WU blogging buddies, etc. on your now closed Windows to the World blogsite! Sorry to have learned there that I had inadvertently banned you from accessing my own back in 2011. I believe it was due to a then tough period where a few of our closer-knit group had been slammed on our sites by some nefarious trolls. My WU mails had been loading up with alerts sent by trusted souls regarding this, that and the other, so it took me awhile to sort through the mess. Glad that all soon was rectified so that your true legitimacy was known and your positive blogs, posts allowed us to become quite good friends hence.

Yesterday, your final post caused many to pause and pass around the virtual tissue boxes! You're quite the humbly talented, eloquent writer plus experienced computer technician and, thusly, have been quite the asset to WU, other sites, plus a truly relished friend to the rest of us. We will always be grateful for that and hope it'll be extended, onto some of the newer developed sites, in the days ahead!

Thank you for all you did for us to see the world and it's wildlife including people. I did shed a tear, I am a bit sentimental:)) Yes, new adventures to enjoy with all the Wu'ers still around!!

Sounds like your box is getting up there in years, ycd! My old original Glitchamatic ran XP. Windows no longer supports updates to XP, so I wouldn't put anything sensitive security-wise on it. Might be time for a computer, I'm afraid! :(

Mornin' Ylee:
I'm running Chrome under Windows XP and I get a banner at the top that says Chrome will no longer be updated.
I guess I'm supposed to install a newer Windows version.
Anyhow my problems with this desktop are way down the list of priorities just now.
The main thing is that there are a couple of places to land when we bail out.

Good morning! Chilly start to the day at 28, but should warm up quickly to the upper 50s, under sunny skies!

Fixed the Deer Trail cam, which is good, since it keeps the blog near the top! All the other cams are doing well!

ycd, it sounds like either a setting on your browser, or Flash needs to be updated. If you're running Chrome, I don't know what the deal is! :(

Always glad to stop by when I could, and leave a comment, a link, or a tune! Hopefully, we can continue this over at the Ark!

I'm taking this as "turning the page", or "When one door closes, another opens", or something like that, GG! The other morning, I was in bed, thinking about writing the last blog, and I began to tear up a little. When you spend thousands of hours over the years building something, making friends and such, it hurts a lot. I'm just thankful we are all able to band together, and keep the connections alive.

Hopefully, I'll have the new cam blog up, or at least the embryonic beginnings of one, before I pull the plug on this one, Alley! I hope to see you there, too, or somewhere!

Hi, Sir Pott! Looks like I'll be setting up new digs at the Ark! Hope you don't mind some sawdust.... :' )

WW, I got your WUmail, too! Very nice gold coin with the 3D shamrock!

WTS, I had thought of putting your hummer cam on the blog, but I got in a hurry, and forgot! Your cam absolutely belongs on the list of alltimers, but I think it's best that you have exclusive showing of it, if for no other reason than to force people to come visit you! :' )

Briar, I hope to see you out there, too! It would be nice if I can make it better over at the Ark; Rob'll surely give it more features than I can take advantage of, at least for right now! :' )

"but they ain't OUR blogs" - That's the whole problem right there... The WU user blogs created such a great community, and that's the worst of the loss. But looks like the will to stay together is strong, I hope to see you often on the Ark (still need to get on board) and flickr.

I've really enjoyed your view of the world (occasionally as a reminder of someplace I've been) and great to see that you will continue - awesome that Rob has worked a solution for the cams!

I still need to figure out how to keep the hummercams going. And find a spot for Yeti ;-)

I can see 16 of the cam images. 8 of them are blank white rectangles. The cams I can see are all my favourites too.
I'd like to know what the cams are that I can not see (and why).
I'll check the tablet. It showed all the cams yesterday while the desktop drew blanks here and there.
You have been a big contributor to my on-line life.
Whenever my blog slipped off the bottom of the index page the coyote would drag me back to the porch.
Not to mention the hours I spent flying high over the world on the ISS or deep below the oceans on the Okeanos Explorer ROV.
Big smiley face that you and Rob are building a lifeboat just for those of us who are now addicted to peeking in on selected places around this whirl.
