through early tonight...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of central Pennsylvania,
including the following areas, Columbia, Montour, northern
Lycoming, Northumberland, Schuylkill, southern Lycoming,
Sullivan, and Tioga.

* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through early tonight

* very heavy downpours are possible out of any thunderstorm into
the early part of tonight. The highest risk for flash flooding
will be if multiple thunderstorms affect one location. This is
most likely over the northeastern mountains and middle
Susquehanna valley.

The National Weather Service in State College has issued an
excessive heat watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon
through Sunday evening.

overnight low temperatures will be very warm and the air
oppressively muggy.
