A Flash Flood Watch continues for

* the following Kentucky counties. Martin, McCreary, Whitley,
Bell, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Knox, Leslie, Letcher, Perry,
and Pike.

* It is in effect until 2 am EDT tonight.

* Occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected. They may
produce very heavy rainfall in a short amount of time, resulting
in excessive runoff.

* Flash flooding will be possible. In addition, mudslides could
occur in steep terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
