Lakeshore Flood Watch
Issued: 4:08 AM EDT May. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Lakeshore Flood Watch now in effect until 2 PM EDT this
afternoon...

* Lake Shore flooding... water levels may rise enough to cause
flooding along the Lakeshore. The water levels at Toledo may
reach 70-75 inches above low water datum while levels at
Marblehead top out around 65-68 inches. 2 to 4 foot waves on top
of these higher water levels will cause additional shoreline
erosion.

* Timing... through 2 PM this afternoon.

* Impacts... flooding of shoreline areas is possible along with
beach erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore Flood Watch is issued when conditions are favorable
for Lakeshore flooding to develop. Residents on or near the shore
should begin to take action to protect property. Listen for later
statements or warnings.
