* Until further notice.
* At 02am Sunday the stage was 1119.04 feet.
* Flood stage is 1117.00 feet.
* At stages near 1119 feet... widespread flooding of crop and pasture
land begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Big Sioux River at Akron.
* Until further notice.
* At 08pm Saturday the stage was 19.03 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.00 feet.
* Forecast... the river will crest near 22.2 feet by Monday September
16 then begin falling.
* At stages near 22.0 feet... Highway 48 begins to flood where the
Railroad tracks cross.

the Big Sioux River above Hawarden.
* Until further notice.
* At 07pm Saturday the stage was 31.03 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.50 feet.
* Forecast... the river will crest near 33.1 feet by Monday September
16 then begin falling.
* At stages near 32.0 feet... water backs up into the park in
Hawarden, and some basements and sewers could begin to have problems.

* visibilities... widespread one quarter mile with areas of a few
hundred feet.

* Timing... through 11 am CDT.

* Impacts... limited visibilities will make travel very difficult.
