The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* until 1130 am CDT Friday.

* At 1110 PM CDT, local law enforcement continues to report ongoing
flooding across much of Grant County, with several roads closed.
Additionally, the Grant river is experiencing major flooding from
Burton down to the Mississippi River.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Platteville, Lancaster, Fennimore, Cuba City, Hazel Green,
Dickeyville, Cassville, Bloomington, Preston, Georgetown, Beetown,
Arthur, Montfort, Potosi, Livingston, Mount Ida, Ellenboro, Glen
Haven, Bagley, and Tennyson.

Follow instructions from local authorities. Never drive around
barricades or through flood waters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CDT this morning...

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CDT this morning.

* Visibility... dropping to one-quarter mile or less in many areas
as fog develops overnight.

* Impacts... slow travel due to low visibility. In some areas,
visibility may be near zero at times. The Friday morning commute
will be impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
