Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 7:20 PM CDT Sep. 16, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CDT Tuesday.

* Visibility... 1/4 mile or less.

* Impacts... dense fog will result in hazardous travel conditions
tonight into Tuesday morning, including the morning commute. The
dense fog will initially impact areas near Lake Michigan and the
Bay, but is expected to spread farther inland as the night
progresses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your low-beam headlights, and keep a safe distance from other
vehicles.

Special Statement
Issued: 5:56 PM CDT Sep. 16, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog will impact the Lake Michigan shoreline this
evening...

Dense fog, with visibilities of a quarter of mile or less,
will continue along the Lake Michigan shoreline this evening. The
dense fog is also expected to gradually spread inland across
door, Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties as the evening progresses.

Motorists traveling near Lake Michigan, especially on Interstate
43 between Sheboygan and Manitowoc, and on Highway 42 and Highway
57, should anticipate rapidly changing and poor visibilities due
to the dense fog. If you encounter fog, slow down, keep a safe
distance from the car ahead of you, and use your low beam
headlights.
