The Flood Warning continues for
the Kickapoo river at Steuben.
* From Sunday morning to Wednesday afternoon... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 8:45 am Thursday the stage was 8.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Sunday morning and continue to
rise to near 13.6 feet by Monday. The river will fall below flood
stage by Tuesday evening.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... bridge street near the gage begins to flood
and Highway 179 may be threatened.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Kickapoo river at Gays Mills.
* From Saturday afternoon to late Tuesday night... or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Thursday the stage was 9.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday and continue to rise
to near 14.8 feet by Sunday evening. The river will fall below
flood stage by Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... water begins to cover roads near the river,
including Sand Hill Road near Bell Center. Minor flooding occurs in
areas adjacent to the river, including Robb Park in Gays Mills.

the Kickapoo river at Soldiers Grove.
* From Friday evening to Monday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 9:22 am Thursday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue to
rise to near 14.3 feet by Saturday. The river will fall below flood
stage by Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... water may begin to flood the park and
campground area in the old section of town.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and southwest
Wisconsin, including the following areas, in Iowa, Allamakee,
Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, and
Winneshiek. In southeast Minnesota, Fillmore, Houston, and
Mower. In southwest Wisconsin, Crawford, Grant, Richland, and
Vernon.

* Until noon CDT today

* rainfall of 2 to locally 5 inches has fallen, with another
localized 1 to 2 inches possible.

* Heavy rain in areas that received significant precipitation
over the past week will increase the threat for mudslides and
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

Please monitor conditions closely and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued or flooding be observed.
