730 PM CDT...

At 657 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Baker, or 36 miles west of Devils Lake, moving east at 35 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Leeds, Harlow, Brinsmade, Fillmore, Baker and Esmond.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Grand Forks.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for

sized hail associated with a strong thunderstorm near Esmond, or 45
miles west of Devils Lake, moving east at 30 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Esmond around 655 PM CDT.
Maddock around 715 PM CDT.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
