... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1045 am CDT Friday for
Newton... northwestern Christian... northern stone... McDonald...
northern Barry and southern Lawrence counties...

At 825 PM CDT, the Department of Transportation reported flooding
along many state routes and low water crossings in the warned area.

Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
