The Flood Warning continues for
the Cimarron river near Ripley

* until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 3:00 am Monday the stage was 25.6 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Cimarron river has crested and will continue to fall
to a stage of 24.2 feet mid Tuesday morning.

... Flood Warning extended until late Wednesday night...

the Flood Warning continues for
the Cimarron river near Guthrie.

* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 2:30 am Monday the stage was 20.9 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Cimarron river will continue rising and crest near
21.9 feet early Tuesday morning. The Cimarron river will fall below
flood stage late Wednesday evening.

* Impact... at 22.0 feet... flooding approaches the outskirts of the
town of Coyle downstream from Guthrie. U.S. Highway 77 north of
Guthrie is impassable. In Logan and Payne counties... rural areas
may overflow to depths ranging up to about 3 feet. Low-lying fields
and oil Wells may be flooded or isolated several hours before the
crest... by flow in cutoff channels crossing the flood plain.

* Flood Warning for...
Kingfisher County in central Oklahoma...
northwestern Caddo County in southwestern Oklahoma...
southern Noble County in northern Oklahoma...
east central Custer County in western Oklahoma...
Blaine County in northwestern Oklahoma...
northwestern Payne County in central Oklahoma...
Logan County in central Oklahoma...
southeastern Garfield County in northern Oklahoma...
Canadian County in central Oklahoma...

* until 145 PM CDT Monday.

* Widespread flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas will
continue through Sunday. This will be most pronounced across
Kingfisher, Logan, and Payne counties where life threatening
flooding is occuring and is expected to continue.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northwestern Oklahoma City, Stillwater, El Reno, Weatherford,
Guthrie, Perry, Watonga, Kingfisher, Yukon, Piedmont, Hinton,
Hennessey, Langston, Crescent, Geary, Okarche, Okeene, Hydro,
Cashion and Morrison.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
