... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from noon Sunday to midnight
PDT Sunday night above 6500 feet...

* what... snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches
are expected, with localized amounts up to 6 inches above 7500
feet. There will be areas of southwest to west winds 25 to 35
mph with gusts to 55 mph with blowing snow on higher peaks.

* Where... mountains above 6500 feet. Snow with little or no
accumulation may occur down to around 5500 feet on Sunday night.

* When... from noon Sunday to midnight PDT Sunday night.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. Tree
branches could fall. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times in snow, blowing snow, and fog.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

... Wind Advisory in effect from 6 am Sunday to 2 am PDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 6 am Sunday to 2 am PDT
Monday.

* Winds... areas of southwest to west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts
to 55 mph. Isolated gusts to 65 mph.

* Timing... winds strengthening Sunday morning with the strongest
and most widespread winds for Sunday afternoon and evening.
Winds gradually diminishing late Sunday night.

* Location... near Mountain Ridge tops and along desert slopes of
the mountains into adjacent desert areas.

* Visibility... reduced at times in the desert in blowing sand and
blowing dust.

* Impacts... the winds will make driving difficult... especially for
motorists with high profile vehicles. Watch for broken tree
limbs and downed power lines. In the deserts... areas of blowing
dust and sand could locally reduce visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
