Special Weather Statement issued by Environment.  05:43 AM EST Wednesday 23 January 2019.
A Colorado low will track northeast across Lake Huron and Georgian Bay today, bringing a dramatic change in weather with it.

The thaw has begun with rain and much milder temperatures expected today. Most regions will receive 15 to 25 mm of rain by this evening. 
Strong southwesterly winds gusting to 70 to 80 km/h are expected later today. Colder air will return tonight, bringing the short-lived January thaw to an end.
