Coastal Hazard Statement
Issued: 6:14 PM GMT Nov. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... High risk of rip currents through early Wednesday morning...

The National Weather Service in tiyan has issued a rip current
statement, which is in effect through early Wednesday morning.

* Timing... tonight through early Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... strong and frequent rip currents along east facing
reefs and exposed beaches.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore. Heed the advice of lifeguards... beach patrol flags
and signs.

If you become caught in a rip current... remain calm... do not exhaust
yourself and stay afloat while waiting for help. Swim parallel to
shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to
swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly.
