Watches & Warnings

Excessive Heat Warning
Issued: 3:20 AM CDT Jul. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Excessive heat warning remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this
evening...

* temperature... the combination of temperatures in the 90s and dew
points in the 70s will once again produce daytime heat index
values of 105 to 115 degrees by this afternoon.

* Impacts... heat-related illnesses may occur due to the
prolonged period of heat and humidity.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of
dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot
temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous
situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of
fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and
check up on relatives and neighbors.
